Purpose of the course:

To explain the new requirements stipulated by the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Amendment Act, 2022 in an easily understandable manner.

This course provides a detailed explanation; step-by-step guides and examples of the different processes and procedures to follow when dealing with the administration of occupational injuries and diseases. The course includes the identification of problems and the completion of the prescribed forms.

It includes the criteria for employers; licensees; contractors and sub-contractors. It will assist with the correct calculation of earnings and periodical payments of employees. It will assist employers with the selection of medical service providers and dealing with medical accounts. It will guide employers toward the correct benefits management and explain the different classes of compensation payments.

It provides an overview of the COID Amendment Act’s latest legal rules/ inquiries, fines, and penalties. The course provides guidelines when dealing with the poor performance of employees due to occupational injuries and/ or ill health.
